Everything begins with the Customer, we're here to serve them - otherwise we have no purpose as an organization.

At THM Media™, we acknowledge a "Day in the Life" of our customers. It is but a glimpse into the daily struggles our customer, the super-busy, local, small business owner faces.  For those of us that have never walked in those shoes it's an incredibly powerful glimpse of the struggles they face.  For those that have walked in those shoes, you'll find yourself nodding along with Brad, our local business owner, as he navigates the rollercoaster of his day.

Working to be Greener

At TheHomeMag, being green means more than just adopting eco-friendly practices—it's about living in a way that prioritizes ecological responsibility in every aspect of our lives. From minimizing our carbon footprint to making mindful choices about the type of building products we use in our homes, we are committed to sustainability in both big and small ways.

Our Commitment to Sustainability: For TheHomeMag, being green can be encapsulated in one clear mission: for every tree used in the production of our magazines, we aim to plant two in its place. While the idea of a paper magazine contributing to environmental efforts may seem counterintuitive, we are dedicated to educating our readers and advertisers about the extensive measures we, along with our manufacturing and print partners, take to ensure a healthier and more sustainable planet.

Sustainable Practices in Printing: Our printing partners are deeply committed to environmental stewardship. They operate under stringent eco-friendly guidelines, with certifications from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), ensuring that every step from the forest to your mailbox adheres to sustainable practices. The paper we use is certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), with paper mills voluntarily committing to replanting efforts that foster a sustainable environment.

Additionally, our printers utilize a highly efficient solvent recovery system, achieving a 98% recovery rate—well above the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) requirement of 92%. This means harmful waste emissions are captured and treated before they leave the facilities. Furthermore, the ink used in our magazines is composed of corn, soy, and linseed oils, avoiding the use of animal or petroleum oils.

Partnership with USPS: We also work closely with the United States Postal Service (USPS), a key partner with one of the most progressive green initiatives in the country. USPS operates the largest fleet of alternative fuel vehicles in the world and has implemented comprehensive recycling programs, annually processing over 200,000 tons of waste materials. Moreover, they are committed to reducing energy consumption in their buildings by over 30%, with a significant portion of deliveries made on foot, ensuring the most energy-efficient postal service possible.

Recycling and Digital Options: In the unlikely event that you choose to discard our magazine, rest assured that TheHomeMag is 100% recyclable, even though it’s printed on glossy paper. However, if you prefer to enjoy the magazine in a digital format, you can easily access the online version. Simply visit your local magazine’s website through our Locations page.

For an even more advanced digital experience, where you can find and connect with Certified home experts, we encourage you to explore our digital Marketplace at AskHomey.com. Here, you'll discover a wealth of resources tailored to your home improvement needs, all in one convenient, eco-friendly platform.

At TheHomeMag, every tree we use leads to the planting of two more. Our commitment to the FSC, SFI, energy reduction, recycling, and waste emission control are all crucial elements of our effort to replant our landscapes and keep our air clean. This is our contribution to the ongoing global effort of environmental responsibility.
